The Selflessly Yours team spent an eventful Saturday morning volunteering for sports and reading activities at Shishu Mandir. Volunteering in your local community differs from merely donating money to a cause and makes for an extremely humbling yet rewarding experience.
With thousands of cause-driven organizations around the world, Anirudh, Anuj and Abhinav chose a non-profit that aligned with their passion and interests of Sports and Reading. Sure enough, they found the experience truly rewarding.
The morning began with a soccer game as an icebreaker and concluded with a foot skills training clinic both of which were attended by a group of talented and enthusiastic group of boys and girls in the age range of 9 to 14.
They further went on to have small group reading and comprehension activities for children ages 6 to 9 which included one on one reading, summarizing, word games and comprehension quizzes!
