How many bridge schools actually have the resources to provide it for the kids? Or is it relegated to an after school program along with other electives such as dance and music? Is it treated as an afterthought or is it low on the priority list for schools that are already scrimping to make subject teachers available for the core subjects?
With such limited access to art and crafts, how would teachers identify kids who stand apart from the rest as far as creativity is concerned? How would they inculcate the love for arts in the mind of a child in a bridge school? Is it a priority?
Selflessly Yours Bangalore team set out on a dual mission to see how much exposure and access our bridge school kids had to Arts, Crafts, Music and Dance. How could we help them with our time? How could we raise funds for a school which would put it to good use for cultivating an interest in the minds of these underprivileged children?
